JLC LIVE Residential Construction Show Attendees Loved Our Deck Seminar!
I am always grateful to JLC Live for allowing me the opportunity to present seminars at their shows. My last show was in Portland OR back in December. Attendees of the seminars are asked to rate the speakers and their presentations so JLC and the speaker has feedback on what works and what doesn't,
I was pleased to read the comments from the attendees of my "How To Build &Waterproof Decks to Last Thirty Plus Years" and see that I was able to provide an enriching experience for them. With 33 "report cards" returned, speakers were rated between 1-4 with 4 being excellent and 1 being poor, I was rated at a 3.73 for "Speaker Knowledge and Presentation" and 3.55 for their "Overall Course Experience".
Attendees commented "Knowledge was excellent" Thorough presentation, well delivered." and "Super knowledgeable. I learned a lot! Thanks!"
Thank you to all who attended and returned evaluations, they are very helpful.

JLC LIVE Residential Construction Show Invites Deck Expert Bill Leys Back for His Fifth Show! December 4th in Portland OR
The schedule has been announced for this years JLC Live Residential Construction Show at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland Oregon. The show returns for it’s fifth year in Portland and what will be our third year being a featured speaker in Portland. This show will mark our fifth JLC Live show we’ve presented at.
The big change for this show though is I am putting on two seminars this year! To keep up the suspense, to see what I’ll be discussing you have to click over to JLC’s website and see what I’ll be discussing. Hint, one session is NOT about decks at all, no way no how. Not waterproofing either, so that’s two hints.

We're Not Getting Our Picture on The Cover of Rolling Stone...but, Deck Expert's New Article Gets the Cover of JLC!
Yes folks we are letting the cat outta the bag so to speak...it's officially official, my new article written for Journal of Light Construction is hitting the streets in about 2 weeks time. I'm finalling the article today for any last minute corrections/additions etc. and it's off to the printers!
The best news of all though is we are getting the coveted cover with waterproofing specialist Ricky Rojas featured on it installing a door pan.
