A durable, one coat, low-odor deck coating solution is now a reality for light pedestrian traffic areas such as balconies, roof terraces and mechanical rooms. The culmination of a two-year R&D initiative, Tremco's Vulkem OC810 Coating is a high-solids, aliphatic urethane membrane designed to be applied in one 35-40 mil coat for aesthetically pleasing, durable waterproofing protection that is mildew- and fungus-resistant and low VOC (less than 30g/L).
Unlike traditional base and top coat applications that can take several days to apply, the appropriate Tremco primer and innovative Vulkem OC810 coating can be applied within the same day, allowing contractors and building owners to shorten construction timelines, realize labor cost savings and minimize the impact on occupants of inhabited spaces. Tremco Rubber Aggregate 12-20 mesh, a specially engineered system, is used with Vulkem OC810 to impart skid resistance and provide additional surface texture.
Vulkem OC810 will be available in the standard Vulkem Deck Coating colors of beige, maple, limestone, gray, and slate gray. The product is compatible with Vulkem 191 Low-VOC Primer (for exterior applications or applications where odor is not a concern) and TREMPrime MSUP Primer (for interior applications or applications where odor is a concern).
