The program will begin with the moderator’s presentation of the existing conditions at "Faulty Towers," a two tower high-rise with connecting plaza and car park. One tower is a commercial office tower, the other a residential tower. Parking is both above and below grade, with storage, health facilities and a car washing facility below grade. The towers and their reported problems will be presented, marking the reported areas of water intrusion and defects on building elevations and models.
Subsequent presentations will cover the foundations of a successful investigation, including pre-investigation preparation, investigative photography & documentation, and file and document management. Investigation of specific building components will be addressed, namely roofs, windows, curtain walls, cladding, below grade waterproofing, plaza decks, & sealants.

Collection and analysis of the data from the investigation will then lead to development of a Scope of Repair and conducting proposed repairs which the building remains habitable.
